Meet Matthew Winn

My mission is providing exceptional support to faculty within the College of Fine Arts & Communication so that they can gain funding to accomplish their research goals. Have a great idea for a research and/or creative project? Give me a call or set up a time to meet with me. I’ll help you develop your creative idea into a fundable and achievable project with a significant impact.

Here’s a little bit about me: Raised in South Central Texas, I graduated with my MA and BA from Texas State University’s nationally recognized Communication Studies program, with a focus in organizational rhetoric and training & development. I have over four years of experience as a Pre-Award Research coordinator and several years of TXST experience as a team leader, persuasive writer, workshop facilitator, trainer, teacher, and researcher that provide me with a unique set of skills to help faculty and students pursue and obtain significant funding opportunities for their impactful ideas.  My specialties include: audience analysis, idea development, persuasive writing, relationship building and maintenance, effective facilitation and collaboration, and streamlining processes.

Meet Meredith Williams 

I graduated from Texas State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. As a student at Texas State University, I was employed with both the University College and the University Seminar Offices. In 2007 I was hired by the Department of Communication Studies as an Administrative Assistant and remained there until joining the College of Liberal Arts staff as a Post-Award Research Coordinator in 2014. I am excited to be able to use my several years of experience as a TXST Post-Award Research Coordinator to now help all of the fantastic faculty within the College of Fine Arts and Communication.

Meet Dr. Kelly Kaufhold

Dr. Kelly Kaufhold is the Chair of the C3 Advisory Board and Associate Professor for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. His area's of interest/expertise include: scholarly research, IRB submissions, survey research, focus groups, panels, experimental design, content analysis, media economics, media audiences, persuasion, theories of mass communication and persuasion, pedagogical research.

In his role as Chair of the C3 Advisory Board, Dr. Kaufold helps to guide the mission of C3 to encourage and expand creative and collaborative research projects by faculty within the College of Fine Arts and Communication and across the University as a whole. Additionally, Dr. Kaufold facilitates all C3 Advisory Board meetings and serves as an effective liaison between the C3 Research Coordinators and faculty.
